Refrigerator of Love

I will never be featured in the Better Homes and Gardens magazine – or even in a designer’s favorite magazine for having the most contemporary or beautiful kitchen in the world  – but I would rather have my refrigerator of love any day.  My refrigerator has always looked this way – when my own children were young it was totally papered with their drawings and notes – and now that Lizzie and Liam have joined us, they have taken over the job.  There were a few years where the refrigerator looked sad and empty, and no amount of polishing made me smile the way the jumble of pictures does.  Every person should have a refrigerator of love — the world doesn’t need a shiny, sterile kitchen — it really needs a refrigerator of love.
